NIF Global Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar came on board for Ahmedabad Times Fashion Week Season 5, bringing its students and their creative collections to the runway. The three day fashion showcase is happening from 4th to 6th September 2026, bringing together emerging designers, fashion students and creative talent on the runway.
Every look has an idea behind it, a creative process behind it, hours of preparation and a team behind it. This show is all about this. Ahmedabad Times Fashion Week Season 5 is an unforgettable occasion for aspiring fashion talent, as students from NIF Global showcased their creativity with a variety of collections, each thoughtfully crafted.
It illustrated the way that the fashion institute educates fashion, students are empowered to go beyond the classroom and immerse themselves in the entire process of creating and showing a line.
A Grand Runway by NIF Global Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Vapi Where Every Collection Told a Story
The students from NIF Global (Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Udaipur, and Vapi) exhibited works on heritage, nature, femininity, contemporary life, and traditional craftsmanship, respectively.
The 5 PM showcase started with the presentation of RE:TIE by Jahanvi Dembla and students from NIF Global Udaipur. The collection reinterpreted a tie that was traditionally a sign of formality and manhood, into a symbol of identity, confidence and equality.
Then came the students of NIF Global Gandhinagar with Urban Nomads. The collection featured modern motifs alongside traditional Ajrakh, with a mix of black and oxidised hues and subtle urban touches that embodied the spirit of the nomad and highlighted the cultural heritage.
The students of NIF Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar presented the theme Muse of the Sea, which was inspired by the mystical world of Sirens. Colours chosen were deep teal, blues and purples, symbolising the depth and movement and mystery of the ocean, alongside draping, layering and embellishment creating an elegant evening gown.
The event ended with Banarasi Reborn by students at NIF Global, Vapi. The collection shows the traditional Banarasi zari, motifs and borders into contemporary western designs like dresses, corsets, blazers, skirts and trousers.
The 7 PM showcase went on with the collections of traditions, femininity, craftsmanship and narrative.
Hamsini by Label Sapna Dhumal took inspiration from the swan, which is a symbol of grace, purity and elegance. These features were captured in traditional lehenga and choli designs in subtle hues and intricate designs.
Padmalaya, presented by the students of NIF Global Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, was an ode to the feminine, in the form of the lotus. Jewel tones and golden appliqued lotus showed confidence, strength and radiance.
Mrigtrishna delved into the beauty of the real and the unreal. The dusty, pastel hues created a dreamlike look, and mirrorwork brought movement and shimmer to classic shapes.
Through the themes of femininity, royalty, resilience and strength, अविनाशिनी represented Draupadi. Red and gold were the colours of passion and power, and of divine strength, a woman who made pain her power.
The evening ended with Barefoot by One3, a mix of coastal life and hand-crafts. Crochet and macramé were reinterpreted for a modern day at the beach, along with handmade accessories and a commitment to slow fashion.
